Congratulations to the boys and girls Cross Country teams for their performance at the South Houston Trojan Tune-up meet on Friday, October 5th. The varsity boys were led by medalists Ty Halligan (8thplace), Colby Amevia (14thplace), and Christian Yeathermon (23rdplace). The junior varsity boys were led by medalists Ryan Lopez who finished with a season best (12thplace), Adrian Zapata (13thplace), Conner Byerman (15thplace), Juan Rodriguez (16thplace), and Kyle Eaton (21stplace). In the freshman division, the team was led by medalist Kyle Hoppie, Boddin Cobb, and Ethan Kuehn. Other top 30 finishers included Keegan Gann and Ryan Hoxie. In the varsity girls division the team was led by Savannah Hadley, Christy Cantu, and Avery Lien all finishing in the top 40. The junior varsity division were led by medalists Elizabeth Stegman (15th place), Amaya Brown (17thplace), Zhivanna Magdeleno (19thplace), and Michelle Davis (29thplace). This week on Thursday, October 11ththe Cross Country teams will be competing in the 24-6A District Championship at the Sportsplex on Thursday.
